Celine is from California, and graduated from San Diego State University (SDSU) in May 2020 with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences with a minor in Gerontology. In August, she will move to Boulder, Colorado to begin the Doctorate of Audiology program at the University of Colorado Boulder. At San Diego State University, Celine began her training as Resident Advisor (RA), and she earned a Diversity Awareness Certificate and served as a mentor to freshmen in their transition to SDSU, prepared and directed programs, and served as a liaison for the National Residence Hall Honorary. She was also selected to be a Research Assistant for an Audiology Research Lab with Dr. Laura Dreisbach-Hawe, that focused on testing otoacoustic emissions in healthy newborn babies. During the summer of 2018 she studied abroad in Prague, Czech Republic. During the school year, Celine served as a Program Coordinator for the Student Ability Success Center on campus where she planned and executed campus-wide programs that promoted inclusivity and acceptance. She currently plans to become an audiologist and "pay it forward" as she puts it. Of note, she has a sister who also has a hearing loss.
