Anna Nack

Rochester Institute of Technology

Anna Nack from Sterling, VA will be attending the Rochester Institute of Technology with plans to major in both Biomed Engineering and public policy.

Anna carried a 3.97 GPA after being adopted from an orphanage in Armenia as a young child. She learned ASL and English after she got to the United States. Although she has Nager syndrome, requiring 12 surgeries, she has been very successful.

She was a peer leader/mentor in her community for struggling students, particularly for science and ASL classes. She was a member of the National Honor Society and the English National Honor Society. She was awarded first place in the General Dynamics Women+Tech challenge for which she coded a bot that provided interactive feedback re: mental health with Covid. She was also selected for the U.S. congressional young women’s program.

She won the Jack Bruen national award for outstanding character/sportsmanship. Anna also presented in the CIA’s "bubble”conference room – and was the youngest person to ever do so.
