Alison Stroud

University of Michigan

Alison has a master's degree in Public Policy and oversees two research projects for the Institute of Social Research at the University of Michigan. She graduated from the University of Michigan. Born profoundly deaf, Alison was mainstreamed into public schools in second grade. She participated in basketball, volleyball, and softball -- all at varsity level -- as well as numerous community volunteer activities such as the Red Cross Blood Drive, the United Way Walk For Warmth, the Feed Your Neighbor Program at Faith Community Church, and the Bluestreak Buddy Program, which pairs an elementary student with a high school student -- all the while carrying a full academic schedule.
