Sofia Assab
Columbia University
Sofia, from Massachusetts graduated from Columbia University with a goal of being involved in sustainable development. She is currently a consultant advising companies on their environmental, social and governance policies, in addition to being in the early stages of co-funding a start up that will democratize the cloud and act as the first decentralized cloud for compute.
In high school, she was involved in numerous activities, ranging from being a global ambassador for SPI International to being a marketing intern for the Valley Syrian Relief Committee.
At Columbia, she’s maintained a 4.0 average while being involved in multiple sustainable development organizations. She also was accepted to the highly competitive Columbia Global Collaboratory (2020/2021), a forum for learning about global issues from international experts and peers around the world and was a recipient of the Distinguished New Student Scholarship at Columbia University (2020/2021) based on academic achievement and character.
