Christy, from North Carolina, will be attending UCLA for college this fall. She excelled in high school with a 4.5 GPA, and plans to major in physics in college. She was involved in numerous science related organizations in high school, including science Olympiad (where she was co-president), math and environmental clubs. She also was involved in both art and literary activities, including holding various leadership positions and receiving numerous awards for her literary works and art designs. In addition, she did community service such as tutoring. Her references glowed, with comments such as “She will leave her mark on the world, and we will be better for it.”
