Harper Orr is from Oklahoma, and will be starting her first year at the University of Oklahoma this fall. She is majoring in sociology with a minor in political science, and is considering criminology as a career. She had straight A’s in high school, while being involved in a huge number of activities at school and in her community.

In high school, Harper was involved in SPUD (Students Performing Unselfish Deeds) and was the Chair her senior year, when she led the group of students to raise over $200,000 for charity. She was also part of the National Honor Society, and was involved with student council where she held various leadership positions. In addition, she participated in the statewide Oklahoma Association of Student Councils.

She also was active in her community. This includes leadership roles in the local United Way, the Chamber of Commerce of her hometown, and performing at the local Sooner Theater. For the latter Harper sang, danced and acted in various performances. In addition to the above, Harper worked as a counselor, teaching assistant and receptionist. Her letters of support were glowing, with comments such as “Harper is truly the best of the best!”
