Erin Rainey
William & Mary
Erin is an intervention teacher in Texas. She attended William and Mary College, with the goal of becoming a teacher, and then taught kindergarten, special education, and intervention in 4 different cities. Her hearing loss was first discovered at age four, but by then she had already taught herself to read lips. She says that frustration associated with her hearing loss made her a creative problem solver to determine the most effective ways to communicate in various settings.
