Andrea, from New York, has a sibling with a profound hearing loss as well. She had a stellar high school career, achieving a 3.7 GPA and involvement with numerous extracurricular activities. The latter included being on her school’s inaugural women’s flag football team of which she was the captain her senior year. She was also involved with the mathematics honor society, including tutoring other students having difficulty in math.
Andrea plans a dual major in finance and accounting at the Rochester Institute of Technology. She’s also been heavily involved in volunteering and work throughout high school.
