Ashley studied at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, before going to nursing school. From Louisiana, Ashley comes from a family of four, and was diagnosed with a severe hearing loss as a newborn. She enjoys soccer, is active in her church, and volunteers at local nursing homes and the Humane Society.
